Look Around! The Creator Is Everywhere!!

You know, I have a hard time wondering how people doubt God's existence. Of course, I've had it engrained in me from the time I was born, so I'm sure that's one reason I wonder how people doubt. I was sitting outside today on this first day of Fall (which is beautiful, by the way.) when a hummingbird came up right beside me. He just stayed there flapping his wings however many times they do a second. He was close enough for me to literally get a "birds-eye view". How intricate these beautiful creatures are made. I continued watching him as he was checking me out. It was pretty cool to see one up so close. I tried to remain still as not to scare him away. Funny thing, he never did seem scared, and stayed by me for a good 30 seconds or so. He then flew over to a plant and started eating the nectar out of the blooms. I looked at this little bird thinking how could something so perfect could have just happened?! How does this little bird know just where to go to get its food? Do you ever just really pay attention to creation?? I mean, REALLY pay attention. We take so much for granted because we've always known creation. But look around, how do the seasons know just when to change? Look at the trees, how do they grow and form perfect leaves, and change color during Fall and fall to the ground only to come back around in the Spring? Plants and flowers, so beautifully and wonderfully made. All of these things giving us oxygen to breathe. To all the animals and yes, even the gross bugs crawling on the ground. :-) Pay attention to all of these things. It is hard for me to believe that all of this "just happened". There has to be "someone" behind all of this majesty. I'm a big outdoors person, and I LOVE to take hikes through the woods. To see the majesty of creation as I look over a cliff just takes my breath away. I love the ocean, too! As the waves crash onto the shore, there is God right at my feet!! Whenever I'm out in creation, I feel closer to God than anywhere else. I look around and all I can see is HIM! Creation cries out at His name, and we just go on about our daily business as if it's no big deal. As we head into the weekend, why don't you find some time throughout your "busy-ness" to get off the computer, off the cell phone, off Facebook, away from the TV, away from all of your events, and just take a few minutes in God's creation!! I think you'll be amazed when you pay attention to what He's created for us!! I read a book a few weeks ago called, "The Boy Who Came Back From Heaven". This child was in a bad car accident and experienced Heaven when he was in a coma. He said that everything we see here that we think is beautiful and magnificent doesn't even come close to the beauty of Heaven. Can you imagine that? I've seen some pretty amazing things that God has created on earth, but they don't compare to Heaven? Talk about mind blowing and making me more excited to get there!! God has given us so much, so much that we just don't deserve and don't even take time to thank Him for. Please take some time this weekend to thank Him for all the blessings in your life. If you're breathing and living in this country, I know you're blessed!!! Have a wonderful weekend!!
