Clunky Shopping Carts!!

Am I the only one who has this trouble? You go to the store and grab a cart and wham! There it is, the loudest, clunkiest cart in the entire store, or one with a front wheel that sticks, or one that pulls the cart to the left or the right. Yeah, you know what I'm talking about because I know it's happened to you, too. I absolutely hate pushing a cart around, and I'll do almost anything to not have to push one, even if it means I'm about to drop everything by the time I get to the check out. But today, I had no choice, I knew I couldn't carry it all. But all I needed was one of those handy dandy little baskets that you can carry. As I was walking up to the door, a girl walked in right in front of me. She looked like she had just gotten out of bed, she had sweats on and a ball cap, and made her Saturday morning run to Wal-Mart, which is what a lot of folks do on a Saturday morning. I'm guilty as charged on that one myself. So she walks in in front of me, and I see one, ONE lonely basket sitting on the floor. The "just got out of bed" girl walked past it, and turned back around and grabbed it!! ARGH!!!!!!!!!! Really?? I saw her walk past it, and I kept thinking, "Don't grab that basket!! DON'T GRAB THAT BASKET!!!" It was like slow motion when she bent down to grab it, and I was in the background screaming, "N-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O..." So I did my typical eye roll and turned around and saw a plethora of carts just begging to be grabbed. Well, I see one that is just sitting by it's lonesome self and I grab it. I knew when I first started pushing it that I had gotten the cart that was going to turn every head in the store. And yep, it did! It was super loud!! When I have a cart like this, I don't look anyone in the eye because I am a person who does not like drawing attention to myself, and this stinkin' cart is doing just that. It's like you get these looks of, "Man! Sure glad I didn't grab that cart!!" The few items I needed to get seemed to take an eternity finding! I just wanted to ditch that cart and get out of store before anyone else gave me "a look". And why do people look at you?? It's not like you can control the noise of your cart. Trust me, I wished I'd had a can of WD40 for this one today. So the moral of this story is, don't grab a stand alone cart, there is probably a reason that no one else is using it. haha!
