Why Do Bad Things Happen To Good People?

Over the past 24 hours I've been reading a lot different feelings and emotions on Facebook over the tragedy in Connecticut. Some of us are numb, some of us are angry, some of us are sad...but I think the majority of folks are asking why?  Why does anyone hurt people, especially young children?  Why do bad things happen to good people? That's been a hot question for years and years, and I've never really heard a good answer until I read this post last night from minister, Jimmy Sites. I think he summed all of this up and why the whole world is "off its rocker" so to speak.  Do we ever think how we live in a world that was not the way God planned it? Thanks to two people in the garden who disobeyed God, we have been paying the price ever since, and we still disobey God every single day.  I wanted to share Jimmy's post because it just makes so much sense and gives a good answer to "why do bad things happen to good people".  We have just got to pray for this nation, this world because we are growing further away from our God, and one day, this whole thing is going to come to a screeching halt, and God will make everything right. Are you ready?  Are you trying to live a Godly life or are you just going along with anything that feels good? It's not an easy road to choose when Satan bombards all of us day after day with his arrows.   This world is full of evil, and where there is evil, bad things are going to happen. Satan is having a field day with this world, but he won't get to touch the next world, and I can't wait for that!!

REGARDING THE SCHOOL SHOOTING: Why Do Bad Things Happen to Good People?

First, my prayers and thoughts to all who are effected by the terrible shooting that took place today. This kind of tragedy was never intended by God. He did not cause it, man did.

When God created the world He placed mankind in the Garden in Eden. Everything was perfect. That was God's original intent - the NATURAL ORDER OF THINGS

Then mankind listened to Satan's temptation and gave into it to disobey the one rule that they had - eating of the fruit in middle of the Garden from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Since the Tree of Life was also in the garden, God chose to expel them from the Garden lest they eat of that fruit as well and compound problems even more. It was an act of grace on His part. Because mankind made the choice to rebel, sin came into the world. The natural order of things became the UNNATURAL ORDER OF THINGS. Death and storms and chaos and evil became a reality, as well as the cause-and-effect pattern that is related to those things. God in His foreknowledge knew this would happen, so in His love and wisdom developed a plan to offer a rescue to mankind - God coming to earth as a human to suffer and die for the very ones He created. Through this remarkable act of love He offers mankind a way back "to the Garden" some day in the future. It is called "Heaven," and it will be perfection restored - the NATURAL ORDER OF THINGS once again.

The problem that you and I face is that we live in between the bookends of the Garden and Heaven. We live within the UNNATURAL ORDER OF THINGS. That's why bad things happen to good people, and good things happen to bad people. In the midst of it all God occasionally reveals a miracle (not a supra natural event, but rather a glimpse of the natural - the way is was intended to be and someday will be). He does this to remind us of His original intent and His future plans for those who love Him and follow Him. Until that day, we just have to hang on to our hope of what is to come for all who choose to accept God's beautiful gift of grace. And we have to remain faithful even on days like this when we have a hard time wrapping our brains around why such tragedy occurs.
