Crazy Day!!

Well, it has been a crazy day. Actually it's been a little crazy all week. As we all know the economy is "in the toilet", and it's affecting many people and their jobs. We were informed at my place of employment at Christmas that we were "financially sound, and everything is going to be ok." Well, that apparently, isn't true. Today it was announced about layoffs. Thankfully, I am still employed, but who knows for how long. Unfortunately, 7 coworkers lost their jobs today. 3 out of the 7 were in my department. I am floored, I NEVER saw a couple of these people who were laid off coming, and to be quite honest, I figured I would be one to get "the boot". I have never worked anywhere where layoffs occurred, and I have been pretty stressed all week. I know we are supposed to let God take control, and I really have tried, but human nature just takes over sometimes and causes you to worry. This afternoon has just been like a bad dream that you can't wake up from. I am SO thankful to God to still be employed. We just really need to pray for ALL people who have lost jobs, and those that will be losing their jobs. People are losing jobs all around me, and I know they are with people you all know, too. I really don't know where we are headed, but it's time to start praying harder than we've ever prayed before.
