SIT UP STRAIGHT!!!

So I want to know how many of you out there have gone to chiropractors, and what do you think of them? Did they help you?? Do you think they're crazy? What was the strangest thing they've ever done to you?? This blog is for you guys too, so bring on the comments! You don't have to sign your life away to leave one, you can even make up a "fake" name. Some of my friends do that...so let's hear your stories! :-) Just be sure to email me if you use a fake name so I'll know who you are. :-) You'd be surprised at how people love to read the comments, so let's have it. Am I begging enough?? HA HA! I recently started going to a chiro about a month or so ago. I was having some bad pain in my upper back, and shoulder like I'd never felt before. It was running down my right arm, so I thought I might have a pinched nerve or something. I'd been reluctant to go to chiros as I've heard "they're quacks" pretty much my entire life, and they just keep you coming back. Well, maybe some of them are, but I'm here to say that the guy I'm going to has helped me 100%. I was diagnosed with something called "Anterior Head Syndrome" or otherwise known as "Old Lady Hump" (No comments from the peanut gallery! ;-) ). You know, that hump that women get on the back of their necks when we are older, and your neck and head sticks out forward like a turtle, that's the best analogy I could come up with. :-) If you're a guy, don't think you're immune to this syndrome because you can have it too, and I've seen guys with it. Remember when we were kids and mom said "Sit up straight!!" Well, many of us should have listened but because we didn't, and countless hours of slouching, and playing video games (Yay Atari 2600!!) we are paying the price. Now days we have computers, laptops, desk jobs, soft couches and chairs,...the list goes on of why, and how we get "Anterior Head Syndrome". It's funny how I notice everyone's posture since going to the chiro. I'm standing straighter now then I have probably since I was 5. I think my friends think I've become the "Posture Police" because I'm always saying "Stand up straight!!" :-) I bet I'm 2 inches taller, ok maybe not, but I am taller. :-) The human body is amazing. It will heal itself if we choose the right care, and eat the right foods, AND drink the best drink around...WATER!!! We can feel fabulous if we CHOOSE to. I fully believe in chiropractic care, and have felt better than I have in years! Today I had my feet and toes popped, I've been punched in the rear end, my neck popped, and "karate chopped" on my collar bone. Probably sounds painful, but you would be suprised at how great you feel after you have it done! So what have your experiences been at the chiro? I'm waiting for your stories, so bring it!! Have a great day!
